About Zach Childs

I have been fortunate enough to have been coming to Mexico Beach for over 15 years.  Both of my parents are school teachers in Bainbridge Georgia.  Every summer when school got out, Dad and I were off to Mexico Beach for the summer to enjoy some of the finest fishing, scalloping, diving, and hunting anywhere.

I chose to study business at Valdosta State University to take advantage of their highly rated business school.  After my junior year and much lobbying, I was offered an internship with The St. Joe Company in Port St. Joe focusing on Market Research and Community planning issues for Windmark Beach.  This was a priceless learning experience that not only taught me about community planning, it made it clear to me that this was the area where I was going to start my career.

Sure stocks and bonds can be great investments, but do you have a view of the sunset over the Gulf from your stock?  Can you entertain friends and family at your stock?  Can you pull out of your boat slip and go cruise the beaches from your bonds?  I had thought until that internship, that I wanted to be a financial advisor.  But after that, I realized that I wanted to get involved with buying and selling property.  Not only can it be a great investment, but you get to Enjoy it!

Lucky for me, my Aunt Sally happened to be the top-producing real estate agent in Mexico Beach.  I will be forever grateful to her and Bill Fauth for bringing me in and making me a part of their team.  In the 10 months I was a part of their team, I was able to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience.

I am now happy to be working with Port St. Joe Realty.  The team of agents here have an unparallel knowledge of not only the current market, but other real estate related services.  This allows me to continue learning about sales, construction, management, and development while maintaining a high level of committment to client satisfaction.
